The Judith Lynn Claim in New Mexico is famous for its purple Fluorite octahedrons. And this specimen is no exception. The crystals are of an exceptional gemminess, with attractive phantoms perched on a quartz matrix. The specimen like most from this locality had been treated with hydrofluoric acid to remove a tough quartz coating to reveal the incredible fluorite. These fluorites are a 10 out of 10.
