Description
This colourful specimen features numerous mint-blue, bladed crystals of Aurichalcite, accompanied by silky, white crystals of Hemimorphite. This piece comes from the well known Mexican locality Ojuela Mine of Mapimi, has beautiful overall aesthetics and only minor imperfection. Aurichalcite in beautiful specimens is one of the signature minerals of the Ojuela Mine. And only a small number of good Aurichalcite specimens remotely comparable to these early ones (1950s and 60s) have been found in the Ojuela mine since the mid-1960s; it is a relatively uncommon mineral on the market today."
