Description
This is a superb and contrastful specimen with a wide opened vug richly lined with sharp and cubed dark violet to black Fluorite crystals as so called Stink-Fluss. This is as still mentioned a dark violet to blackish variety of Fluorite, especially from Wölsendorf, Germany, that emits an odor of HF and ozone upon grinding due to the internal presence of free fluorine gas and colloidal calcium and the interaction of components with water upon grinding. And here we have an unusual beautiful piece of it, partly coated with glistening burnt orange Ferruginous Quartz. Only minor edged wear. A great piece.
