Description
This is a superb Dioptase specimen from famous Namibian locale of Tsumeb. Despite not all crystals are perfect this is a great specimen in any case. There isn´t as much that is as attractive to the eye as a sparkling, gemmy Dioptase (nor as hard to photograph, for that matter) from world-famous Tsumeb. These crystals have superb luster, and gemminess that results in a wonderful green fire. They sit on a white Calcite matrix that peeks out from tiny spots at the periphery- anyway an association that is always desirable. The largest crystal is over 1 cm, and there are several among this rich cluster. Very aesthetic Tsumeb material.
