A fine Medusa of native Silver from the famous Kongsberg Mining area of Buskerud in Norway. Silver from Norway is one of the true great classics for the species, and this is a textbook "rope" with very thick intergrown wires . The patina has lots of nice, subtle contrasts and minor tones to the colour. The piece is complete all around, and looks equally good on either side, or upside down. It is hard to choose a display angle I like best! Unfortunately an ignorant and/or dilletante has sawn the specimen from the matrix. So you see the saw marks on the bottom..
