Description
A rare and excellent specimen from meanwhile classic and famous Malad Quarry near Mumbai (Bombay) in India. A cluster of super sharp and mirror bright, jet black crystals of Babingtonite are aesthetically set on basalt matrix. Babingtonite is an UNCOMMON silicate from the Bombay area quarries and this is a superb example. The Bombay area quarries are closed, due to population growth. This is a super specimen from the famous 1970 finds.
