This is a stunning mini, presenting a single, excellent defined Zircon on matrix. Here we have a gemmy, very sharp, equant, highly lustrous, 1,2 cm Zircon crystal, well-exposed on biotite schist. This is a classic old locality for the species, and you can see why it is such a classic! The luster, form, and beautiful reddish-brown colour create a gorgeous aesthetic. Specimens of this size, well-exposed and on matrix, are hard to obtain today and I have seen only a few of that quality in the last decade or so turn up, from old collections. Most of them had some problems or edge wear. A fine miniature, pristine all around.
